Testosterone/Epitestosterone (T/E)
Urine test lab reports showing only a testosterone/epitestosterone (T/E) ratio above 6.0 are considered a failed test unless competitors exercise the option of having isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) analyses performed on their sample and those results show no exogenous testosterone was detected. Additional testing performed at athlete’s request will be done at their own expense.
Therapeutic Use Exemption
If a prescribed medication an athlete is required to take to treat an illness or condition happens to fall under the prohibited list, a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) may be granted but will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. TUEs need to be applied for and approved prior to competing. TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) is not eligible for a therapeutic use exemption in the World Physique Alliance.
